Linkwatch privacy policy

Linkwatch is operated by Panth Desai. It reads published Shopify blog content and checks product links. It does not edit store content, read customer records, or read order records.
Information processed
Linkwatch processes the store domain, published blog titles and content, product URLs and link text, scan results and timestamps, monitoring preferences, the alert email address, Shopify subscription status, and credentials needed to maintain the installation. Shopify's content permission can also expose owner or contributor metadata; Linkwatch's article query does not request those details.
Shopify access and refresh tokens are encrypted before storage. Login sessions use cookies. The app does not include advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts.
Purpose and service providers
Information is used to authenticate the store, check links, display reports, run monitoring, send alerts and manage subscriptions. Render hosts the application and database in Oregon, United States. Resend handles alert delivery; messages include the recipient address, affected post and product links, and scan findings. Shopify handles app authorization and billing. These providers process information needed to perform their services, which can involve cross-border processing.
Retention and removal
Scan history and store settings remain in the application's database while the installation is retained. When Linkwatch receives an authenticated uninstall or shop-redaction notification, it removes the store record, scan records and merchant sessions. Daily revenue history retains aggregate totals, not individual store records. Service-provider logs and email delivery records are managed separately under their retention settings and policies.
Choices and contact
Merchants can change their alert address, disable monitoring, cancel the subscription, or uninstall the app. Disabling monitoring or cancelling the subscription preserves previous reports. Contact the operator to request information or removal of personal information held by Linkwatch.
